Bloodborne My Review

“…Beasts all over the shop… You’ll be one of them, sooner or later…”

– Father Gascoigne

One of the best games on the ps4 a recommendation for users of this system. One of the games made by FromSoftware with the series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki that made the famously known game Dark Souls with its famous difficulty and its fantasy like setting. First I should start with the environment which is amazing on its own and the wonderful aesthetics with its H.P lovecraft style and gothic esque environment which you would fall in love with, if you like those kind of styles. As you travel through this game you will encounter some horrendous and terrifying creature that would make you question the developers “How did they made up this kinds of enemies?” and reactions like “Gonna have nightmares of that” or “NOPE!!!” or just “Cool”, but don’t let this kind of things stop you for playing more. The environment and the enemies fit so well together in this game like in any other Dark Souls Franchise which is my game recommendation for anyone who likes to play difficult games. The story is abstract which for me is a cool idea creating your own theory about this game and the mysteries of this game that would let you imagine your own story.

If you played one of the Dark Souls franchise you will notice some minor similarities between the games with some minor tweaks like the combat which is now been faster with quick evasion, quick thinking and being aggressive that will reward you with health if you have been damaged. The healing in this game is now changed with quicker heal time that would make you engage more on combat without any pauses an awesome idea for PVE. Fast and engaging I say. Bloodborne have some features like the other Souls games, like the level up system in this game which you need some blood echoes (a currency in this game) and a NPC and the death system where if you die in this game all your blood echoes would go to zero and get back to your last checkpoint but don’t worry blood is abundance in this game. Another neat feature is the insight which if you gain too much it will have minor difference in your world and the night system, by killing certain bosses it will go different phases that would add a different feel to it.

The difficulty of this game is not that hard actually, compare to Dark Souls in my opinion, but it had some fair amount of difficulty on it like the first boss, if you know what you are doing of course, well it is easy if you just run through the checkpoint but where is the fun with that. The bosses are amazing but some are ok not gonna spoil some. The Weapons in this which have 26 trick weapons that could change into different styles that is unique from one another and 16 firearms, I say the movement of combat in this game is amazing as of those elegant and brutal attack oh how words cannot describe how I feel. The armors are just for cosmetics I guess but it had some really cool design. The dungeon is pretty ok I suppose did not finish it yet. Lastly the soundtrack one of the greatest soundtrack of all time in my opinion that sets the atmosphere of this game and the greatest part of the bosses, the tension, the excitement, the horror, the frustration all together and BAM what a time of my life and now it is one my favorite game.
